about
After so many songs I’ve written, I decided to release this as my first song because it marks my goal in this business that I want to be reminded of every time I hear the song. Especially on those days when I just feel like giving up, they come once in a while. This song is about an actual dream that I had, one that I remember very vividly as if it was yesterday, a dream I’m probably never going to forget. In this dream, I had found myself in the middle of the crowd during the grammy awards ceremony. Everybody was dressed so nicely and very formally, sitting down watching somebody that was performing at the Grammys on the stage. There I was very confused about where I was and how I found myself there. I was
underdressed, very casually, feeling out of place until I looked up to the front at the stage. There was this guy performing in a white angelic tuxedo with a hoodie covering his face, it was so bright that you could barely see him. So I decided to try to walk to the front of the venue to see who it was. As I tried to make my way to the front, security guards noticed me and so they came after me trying to get me out of there without the crowd noticing. So there I was navigating through the lanes in the venue, skipping past Grammy winners and nominees to try and get to the stage.
After a while, I finally got to the stage and the guy that was performing noticed me approaching him so he jumped off the stage and continued performing his song among the crowd who were now suddenly standing and dancing.
He slowly tried to get away from me still disguised in this hoodie, I reached out my arm and touched him on the shoulder and he suddenly stopped performing and just stood there facing away. After I touched this Grammy winner the security decided they had enough, so they came and tackled me down. They stood me up and the guy that was performing suddenly turned and faced me, revealing himself, and I was in shock. It was me. He grinned then turned around and disappeared into the crowd, then I woke up from the dream. This song is exactly about this dream I had. I hope it gives you the same energy it gave me while creating and recording this song.
